How I got here

Farm raised & Jesus saved.

Growing up was the epitome of small town country living. In a one stop light town with my house miles away from that. Freedom is what I call it. But freedom as we all know has its price. We lived on a farm and that meant hard work. Sunup to sundown.  So I guess you could say, this type of life was instilled in me from the beginning. My dad raised tobacco, raised a garden, as well as, hogs and goats. I learned from my grandmothers and mother how to preserve food, and cook from scratch, and I was always along side my dad. Holding on to every word and teachable thing that he had to offer.

While I was raised to work hard and taught by some incredible people the true reason I have become completely engrossed in this lifestyle is because My husband and I both feel and believe that we were called by God to live off of the land and to teach people how to do the same. When we both found out we had the same calling, I guess you could say that we jumped in with both feet. Learning everything we could, trying new things, and still to this day we are trying and learning. This blog and my youtube channel are both a reflection of me trying to teach you everything I know so that one day you too can live off the land and become self sufficient.

My Husband, Darian, and I have been raising a garden for as long as I can remember. Only the last few years have we really started to make it a truly sustainable garden even through winter months. I plan on bringing everyone along our garden this year. With what worked and what did not. Be sure to keep an eye out on my youtube channel...

We preserve as much as we can through canning, freeze drying, freezing, and dehydrating. We can go months without going to any grocery store due to all the preserving methods that I hope to help teach in the coming months. We also use herbs for our health and wellness. God created so much goodness on the earth for us to use and enjoy. It's really quite amazing to me everytime I think about it. While I am not a doctor and I cannot diagnosis or prescribe anything, I will be sharing herbal recipe and remedies that have really changed my life and my families. I want to leave a legacy for my family and the generations behind me. That no matter what comes in the world, they know how to live and thrive off of what they have.

This is so exciting! I am so happy that you are here and thank you so much for reading! I pray that everything that I post helps you to grow and to live off the land.
